The renovation of Shree Ajad Basic School, which is Daya Foundation supported government school in Lagan, Kathmandu has been completed by Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town, supported by Rotary District 3292 under the Rotary earthquake relief program ERRRP. This project was started in 2019 during the Presidency of Ms. Neeva Mathema Pradhan, but delayed due to the COVID pandemic and lockdown as informed by the Project Coordinator and Secretary of Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town Mr. Abhishek Raj.
Rotary Club of Kathmandu Midtown (RCKMT) handed over the support to the school at the handover ceremony of the project completion organized today at Shree Azad Basic School.
The chief guest at the event was Neeva Mathema Pradhan, Former President of the Daya Foundation and Assistant Governor of Rotary District 3292. Also present on the occasion were Rajesh Pradhan, President of Daya Foundation and Pramod Poudel, President of Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid Town. The newly constructed classrooms, desks, benches, computer tables, chairs, drawers and other furniture were handed over to the school management during a program organized at the school premises today.
Rajesh Pradhan, Chairman of Daya Foundation, thanked the Rotary Club for its support to the school and said that about 100 children would benefit from the successful implementation of the project.
The event was attended by representatives of Rotary District 3292, Rotary Club Kathmandu Midtown and Daya Foundation as well as School Management Officials, Teachers and Students who participated in the program, said Abhishek Raj, Project Coordinator and Secretary of Rotary Club of Kathmandu Midtown.
