Public transport entrepreneurs are preparing to operate public transport within 2 days, after the monetary policy addressed their demand for extension of the deadline for loan payment.
Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association (FNNTEA) Senior Vice President Vijay Swar informed that the transport will be operated within two-three days.
“We will discuss the subject with government and will probably start operating public vehicles from Tuesday. Monetary policy is good but long-distance transport should also be resumed,” Swar said.
With new provision introduced in the Monetary Policy issued by Nepal Rastra Bank, the COVID-19 pandemic struck industries have got the expanded period up to the end of the running fiscal year 2020/21. Also, the small debtors have got 6 months extra time to pay for the loan.
