An expectant mother was rescued by a helicopter from Gokule of Mahabharat Rural Municipality-2 in Kavrepalanchowk Saturday morning.
Sunita Thokar, 19, who had been in labor pain for the past 2 days was picked up from the local Gokule Health Post and taken to the Kathmandu-based Maternity Hospital, Thapathali, said Rural Municipality Chair Kanchhalal Jimba.
The District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchowk facilitated the local government to acquire permission from the Home Ministry to use the chopper for the rescue.
The woman was brought to the post on Friday,said Health Post in-charge, Praveen Kunwar . She was diagnosed with several health issues for normal delivery as high blood-pressure, prolonged labor pain, bleeding.
