14 July, Kathmandu
On Tuesday, two chairpersons of the ruling Nepal Communist Party have held a meeting in Kathmandu. However, they did not make any progress in dispute resolving.
In the meeting, last week, Prachanda and a majority of the standing committee demanded that Oli resignation both as the prime minister and the party chair. Oli, however, has been refusing to budge, pushing the party into a standstill.
Since then, Oli and Dahal have met several times, mostly one-on-one, but led no conclusion.
