On Sunday, the government has begun testing the tunnel that constructed to supply water from Melamchi of Sindhupalchok to Kathmandu Valley.
The government says the project will be able to deliver water to Kathmandu by the next year.
Water Supply Minister Bina Magar is announcing the beginning of the test during a press meet in Kathmandu this afternoon.
The 27-km tunnel will deliver the water to the project’s processing centre in Sundarijal on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
