The main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC) is holding central committee meeting Tuesday afternoon to change schedule leading up to the general convention.
A meeting of the party’s office-bearers on Sunday decided to hold the party’s 14th general convention from February 19-22, 2021 in Kathmandu as announced on December 27, 2019. However, the dates have to be changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, today’s central committee meeting will also discuss the provisions of the citizenship bill endorsed by the parliamentary State Affairs Committee, the bill on amendment of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Act, and the government’s failure in prevention and control of the pandemic, party sources said.
