The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is launching the Nighttime Urban Beauty Programme. The government is going to install colourful lights in major hubs of the city.The programme has already been started at Maitighar Mandala. LED colour pipe lights are seen there.
“Such programmes are prioritised in different cities of the world to make the nightlife lively. We have also started this.”, says the city government’s joint-secretary Rajeshwar Gyawali.
The city government is going to invest in the project for most of the places.Also, private companies will be asked to contribute as a part of their corporate social responsibility.
