The meeting of the Standing Committee of the ruling Nepal Communist Party is currently underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli was not present at today’s meeting.
The meeting, which is underway, is discussing five different agendas today. Although a meeting was held to review the work of the government and the party, Prime Minister Oli did not attend the meeting. As he did not attend the meeting, the responsibility of operation and other matters has been given to another chairman Prachanda and party general secretary Bishnu Poudel, sources said.
The meeting that began at 11 am is discussing about Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) among other issues.
The meeting is currently being held at the Prime Minister’s residence. However, sources said that the Prime Minister was absent as he was busy with other work.
