Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding its Standing Committee meeting on Friday. Holding at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Baluwatar at 11 am, the meeting will discuss about Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
Members of the party’s standing committee are preparing to express their views in today’s meeting. Similarly, different agendas will be discussed in the meeting. The agendas include MCC, control of COVID-19, its prevention and treatment, Rukum incident, Party unity, Citizenship Bill, allowances of lawmakers of the Federal Parliament and other distinct issues.
Today’s meeting is going to discuss the controversial MCC. Although the issue has been debated within the party for the past one year, no conclusion has been reached so far. On the other hand, as the date for the approval of the MCC by the parliament draws near, tensions in the NCP have increased.
