KATHMANDU, June 21:
421 people were confirmed to be infected with the corona virus in Nepal on Sunday. Also, Nepal reported one more Covid-19 related death, reaching the national death toll to 23.
At a regular press conference at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwor Gautam said that the number of coronavirus cases in Nepal spiked to 9026 after the confirmation of 421 new cases of coronavirus during tests conducted at 22 labs.”Of the total infected in Nepal, 8206 are males and 820 are females,” Gautam said.
In Sunday’s case 64 were women and 357 were men. Samples of 6 from Jhapa, 5 from Udayapur, 2 from Morang, 2 from Sunsari, 8 from Dhanusha, 2 from Mahottari, 2 from Saptari, 74 from Arghakhanchi, 41 from Dadeldhura, 27 from Doti, 8 from Gulmi, 27 from Kailali, 25 from Kapilvastu, 22 from Nawalparasi West, 1 from Nuwakot, 20 from Pyuthan, 1 from Ramechhap, 2 from Rupandehi, 5 from Sarlahi, 52 from Siraha, 1 from Lalitpur, 4 from Palpa, 23 from Baglung, 1 from Kaski, 10 from Syangja, 1 from Mustang, 4 from Myagdi, 2 from Parbat, 4 from Tanahun, 1 from Banke, 3 from Bardiya, 4 from Rolpa,10 from Dang, 1 from Dailekh, 6 from Salyan, 2 from Surkhet, 2 from Achham, 2 from Baitadi, 2 from Bajhang, 1 from Kanchanpur, 3 from Bara and 2 from nawalparasi East tested positive for the coronavirus.
Similarly, according to the ministry, 194 people were cured of corona infection on Sunday.
According to Gautam, 9,772 people have been discharged from various hospitals after recovering.
