To the dear travelers who were wishing that they could travel soon, here a delay to your plan. The thoughts of the country entering phase 1 would have given hope to a lot of people but there will be a change of plan. Today, the Ministry of Tourism broadcasted that All domestic and international flights will remain suspended until July 5.
The information was out from the Secretary at the ministry, Kedar Bahadur Adhikari who tweeted that all domestic and international flights will remain suspended until July 5. He also informed that Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) will make the formal announcement in this connection shortly.
The government imposed a nationwide lockdown on 24th march and suspended domestic and international commercial flights to prevent and control COVID-19. Since then the operation of airways has been shut. Only charter planes and airlines who are evacuating Nepalese citizens are under operation.
