Today, Nepal has captured the highest number of Covid-19 new cases. 448 new cases were confirmed by The Ministry of Health and Population and the nationwide tally of COVID-19 stand at 5,062. The newly infected cases have covered 424 males and 24 females.
Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam disclosed, “Samples of 86 an individual from Rautahat, 57 from Sarlahi, 45 from Surkhet, 38 from Dailekh, 29 from Dhading, 22 from Syangja, 17 from Saptari, 16 each from Rupandehi and Mahottari, 15 each from Bardiya and Dhanusa, 13 each from Parbat and Jhapa, 11 from Siraha, 10 from Sunsari, eight each from Dang and Chitwan, five from Nawalparasi (East), four from Kapilvastu, three each from Morang and Udayapur, two each from Nawalparasi (West), Argakhhanchi and Pyuthan and once each from Nuwakot, Bara, Kathmandu, Palpa, Gulmi, Banke, Tanahun and Ilam, tested at various labs across the country came positive for the virus.”
So far, coronavirus has covered 72 districts and only Manang, Mustang, Okhaldhunga, Rasuwa, and Rukum (West) have not witnessed any cases so far. As per the information by Gautam, 16 people (four males and 12 females) have been discharged, which has taken the total recovery cases to 877. Meanwhile, another death has been confirmed due to COVID-19.
