June 10, KATHMANDU:
Today the prime minister stood in addressing the queries of lawmakers, he said that the government has given priority to Lipu Lekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura as Nepali territories have not been captured this way in other parts of its international border. “We will seek a solution through diplomatic talks on the basis of historical facts and pieces of evidence. And that means our territory should be returned,” were the words of prime minister.
The question was raised for the details on money spent by the government, to this he said, “Let’s focus on the Covid-19 response now; every detail of the expenditure will be made public in due course of time. There is an internal audit of the government’s expenditures. Let’s not worry about the expenditure, let’s worry about Covid-19 now.”
Furthermore, he also said that the media is not seeing the positive sides and is busy doing agenda-based reporting to stain the image of the government. He firmly requested the leaders of opposition parties and other critics not to doubt in the effort of the government.
The public is still in dilemma about the steps the government is going to take ahead. Their questions are still unanswered. All we can do is hope that the government is listening and considering the demands of the public. And if it goes out of hand the public will not hesitate to take down the government.
