The question is- what is the future of Nepal? On one side, we have been hearing of investments, developments, and efforts the government and officials are putting and on the other side, we see people demanding for the facility, management, resources, and attention of the government in this serious situation.
The problem here is public has been constantly demanding for few things, better testing, quarantine facilities to fight against the pandemic, and ease on lockdown. These three problems have been in the head of every citizen of Nepal but the government seems to be blinded by the need and requirement of the citizens. Where the world’s leaders are busy mapping the shape of the economy and filling the demands of the citizen, our government has been giving the days of the pending decision and uncooperative promises. Well, how long you thought, this will continue?
After the statement released by the governors, that they have invested billions on pandemic damages. Where and how is the question for this statement? Because the public has demanded government concerns on the quarantine set-ups where currently it has been the hub of transmission of infection. We are still not clear that, was the quarantine tent set up for prevention or killing people?
Is this the duty of the government to shut people while they are trying to operate their business during a lockdown of more than 2 and a half months, firing water cannons and arresting them when people come to a protest for better testing and quarantine facilities? Is that all?
Well, the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have decided to address its people at 11:00 am today, hopefully, he is ready with the answer to the following questions or the situation will only get worst.
– Next move on advancing quarantine facility?
– Increase in PCR test? Why the RDT test?
– Money spent on damages of the pandemic- how, when, and when?
– Status on easing lockdown?
