Rautahat, May 5 Corona virus infection has been confirmed in 74 people in Rautahat on the same day. At the same time, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Rautahat has reached 307.
A test conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Teku, Kathmandu on Tuesday confirmed the infection in people of Rajpur, Paroha, Rajdevi, Gaur, Gadhimai, Durga Bhagwati and Yamunamai of Rautahat.
According to Rautahat Chief District Officer Basudev Ghimir, 21 people from Rajpur Municipality, 18 from Rajdevi Municipality, 14 from Durga Bhagwati Municipality, 13 from Gaur Municipality, four from Paroha Municipality, three from Yamunamai Municipality and one from Gadhimai Municipality have been infected with the corona virus.
All those who were confirmed infected on Tuesday are Nepalis who have just arrived in Rautahat from different cities in India.
All those who have been confirmed infected are in the quarantine of the concerned municipality.
Earlier, 18 people were confirmed infected on Monday alone.
A total of 8,059 people including 324 women and 7,735 men are living in the quarantine of 1,352 beds constructed by various local levels of the district so far. According to Ram Naresh Sah, Deputy Subba of the District Administration Office, Gaur, 1,187 people who received negative reports from the district quarantine have been sent back home.
