Kathmandu, May 29: US President Donald Trump has said he is ready to mediate in the border dispute between India and China. Immediately after the US President’s proposal, China responded that the border dispute with India was generally stable and under control.
US President Donald Trump said on Twitter on Wednesday that the United States was ready, willing and able to mediate the latest border dispute between India and China. He also claimed that he had informed both nations about US mediation.
Speaking at a daily press conference hosted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry shortly after the US president’s proposal, spokesman Zhao Lijan responded that the relevant bodies were in discussions with leading military units and embassies on both sides. He said that they are committed to peace and stability in the border areas through mutual communication and discussion.
