Kathmandu, May 23: The government is expanding the scope of testing to prevent the spread of corona infection. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 45,957 tests have been performed using the PCR method so far. Similarly, 86235 have been tested by RDT method.
According to a regular press conference held at the Ministry of Health and Population today, 3,494 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours and 4,119 tests have been conducted using RDT method.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr. Vikas Devkota, on a provincial basis, 10 thousand 169 in Province No. 1, 6308 in Province No. 2, 21712 in Bagmati Province, 7701 in Gandaki Province, 11489 in Province No. 5, 9039 in Karnali Province and RDT tests of 19,817 people have been conducted in the Far-Western State.
The number of those in quarantine is 32587. There are 1,461 in Province No. 1, 6,910 in Province No. 2, 535 in Bagmati Province, 779 in Gandaki Province, 17,130 in Province No. 5, 1,670 in Karnali Province and 4,102 in Far Western Province.
The number of those in isolation is 508. There are 60 in Province No. 1, 166 in Province No. 2, 22 in Bagmati Province, three in Gandaki Province, 247 in Province No. 5, one in Karnali Province and nine in Far Western Province. Similarly, the number of people returning home after winning the Corona is 70.
In the last 24 hours, 708 people have filled in their details on the webpage and app launched by the ministry. Five people are in the red zone to fill in the details. Spokesperson Dr Devkota informed that an investigation has been started into the incident. According to him, the number of people filling in the details on the app and web page has reached 47,969 so far.
