Nepal, so far has been testified with 487 cases of COVID-19 disease. The first case was confirmed on January 24. 9 patients are from Kapilvastu, 15 Sarlahi, 1, from Nawalparasi – East, 3 in Nawalparasi – Susta Ga.Pa and 3 in Ramgram and 2 in Chitwan.
On Thursday night, three more persons were tested positive with COVID-19. The infected people is a 32-year-old man from Narainapur-3, Banke, next one is a 42-year-old female from Khajura-3 of the same district and the last one is 19-year-old male of Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality in Kapilvastu district, the statement was announced by the Ministry of Health and Population. Hence, their swab samples were tested at the provincial labs in Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj.
On Thursday, according to a situation report published by the ministry, it says that most of the infected cases have come out to be between 21 and 30 age group evening. Out of all the cases so far, 158 cases belong to this age group and only one patient is of more than 80 years of age. Talking about the gender that has been affected more due to this virus are men more than women. The count is 386 males and 71 females have been infected. Moreover, you will be shocked to hear that 262 patients are under 30 which is an alarming situation for or a country like Nepal where youths are involved in employment.
And on Thursday morning a total of 17 cases were and nine others during its regular press briefing in the afternoon. Until no, 38 districts have been captured positive results of COVID-19 cases. Out of them Banke has been the worst-hit the district which has 101 coronavirus cases. Then second worst-hit district is Parsa where 91 cases were detected.
With the number of tests being expedited and the increasing number of Nepalis entering from the southern border, Nepal has witnessed a sharp increase in the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in recent days.
