Kathmandu, May 22 : In Saudi Arabia, the number of Nepalis infected with corona has reached 1,064 and seven people have lost their lives. Among the infected, 17 are women.
A total of 299 Nepalis have been infected in the capital Riyadh, 695 in the eastern region and 19 in the Qasim region.
According to the Nepali embassy in Saudi Arabia, 176 people were infected in Jeddah, 65 in Mecca, 72 in Medina, 33 in Jazan and two in Tabuk.
The embassy has requested the Nepalis in Saudi Arabia to get a health check-up by requesting the management of their company in case of cold, fever and respiratory problems.
The Nepali embassy has made public an online form to collect the details of Nepalis who are facing various problems due to corona infection.
According to the embassy, many Nepalis have complained about the problem of not knowing how to fill in their details online.
The form can be filled by visiting the website of the Nepali Embassy. Earlier, the embassy informed that they did not have to fill the form as they had recorded their details from telephone, WhatsApp and email.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 65,077 people have been infected in Saudi Arabia between March 2, 2020 and Thursday.
More than half of those infected have recovered and returned home. The embassy also said the death toll was low.
The embassy has requested Nepalis living in Saudi Arabia to abide by the curfew order issued by the Saudi government.
