Kathmandu, May 17: Corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic prevention and control of the security personnel deployed in the front nine of the security personnel have been infected with corona as of Saturday. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, three people from the Nepal Police, three from the Armed Police Force and one from the National Investigation Department have tested positive for corona this week. Among the infected, four are in Kapilvastu, two in Kathmandu and one in Bara.
In particular, security personnel deployed at various border checkpoints, infected areas, gathering necessary information regarding infected people, enforcing the curfew and entering the valley entry points are at high risk. Police personnel from junior to junior officers have been found infected.
There are Deputy Inspector of Police (DI) of Nepal Police, Constable, Deputy Inspector of Police (DI) of the Armed Police Force and Assistant Investigation Officer of the Investigation Department in Kapilvastu District.
Both are armed police personnel found in Kathmandu. A Nepal Police jawan was found infected with corona in Bara on Saturday. Security personnel are active in implementing the lockdown issued by the government to prevent and control Corona.
Cases increased during partial lifting of the lockdown
Home Spokesperson Kedar Nath Sharma says that the number of people infected with the corona virus has increased and the ban has been tightened. The number of corona infections has skyrocketed with the release of some days of detention.
Spokesperson Sharma said that the operation of passing vehicles has also been stopped since Saturday. Vehicles passing from one district to another from June 1 and passing from June 1 have been banned.
