In the past few days, we can see the numbers of COVID -19 cases growing abruptly. The world was bumped by this poisonous threat long back. But Nepal has just entered this serious scenario, The count has now ascended to 258 . Just like China, Europe, or India, where the COVID-19 cases started with few numbers now crossed thousand and still growing unexpectedly.
We are on a positive side that the government had imposed lockdown before the situation could slip out of hand. So, yes we have a positive point for that. We have already begun our quarantine time. We have distanced ourselves from the regular lives we had. Our economy, businesses, education has already blown off. The time has become where the virus is now spreading in Nepal. Since we all are aware of the facilities and management our country holds. It is very important to be scrupulous with our regular habits. To fight against the virus winningly, it is very important for us to keep ourselves healthy and take all the precautions we have come across.
Though the government will do all possible things to save us from the virus but available resources might not help them if the number of infected cases rises. If countries like Europe, India, and more were not able to have control over the spread of the virus with so much technology and experts. It’s time to give a thought about what situation we might pull ourselves in. Likewise, the news on 13thMay, reported “We have already crossed our limit,” Dr Madan Upadhyay, medical superintendent at the Narayani Hospital in Birgunj, “From five Covid-19 patients, we managed to accommodate 25, then 50, and now 70. Now we have no more space to admit additional patients.” To avoid such a situation where the country might not be able to operate us, it’s better we become stricter to our daily routine and quarantine ourselves. Let’s together take precautions and fight against it. Let’s defeat CORONA VIRUS!
